About Me
I am an Iraqi Kurdish journalist and researcher specializing in Kurdish politics, conflict, security and human rights across Iraq and the wider region, with a master’s degree in Politics and International Relations.
My work combines investigative journalism, political analysis, media monitoring and source verification, with a particular focus on the political and security dynamics affecting Kurdish communities. Over the past decade, I have reported and conducted research on armed groups, regional conflicts, human rights, disinformation and the evolving political landscape of Iraq, Kurdistan and neighboring countries.
I currently work as a writer and project coordinator with the Network of Iraqi Reporters for Investigative Journalism (NIRIJ), where I contribute to investigative projects and research on complex political and security issues. My previous experience includes media analysis, fact-checking, cultural programming and research with organizations and media institutions in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
Alongside journalism and research, I work with photography and visual storytelling to document people, places and experiences often overlooked by mainstream narratives. I am particularly interested in projects that explore identity, displacement, conflict and the human consequences of political events.
My work is driven by a commitment to rigorous research, accurate information and stories that help make complex political and human realities understandable.
Based in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
